Baghdad: The Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Akira Endo, has highlighted the growing interest of Japanese companies to enhance their presence in the Iraqi market, focusing on the introduction of modern digital technologies and the expansion of their operations. The ambassador noted ongoing dialogues between the two nations centered on new projects in the infrastructure and development sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Endo shared that discussions on joint projects have been active since the previous government’s tenure, with the current administration adopting a more focused approach to these discussions. He emphasized the strategic allocation of Japanese aid, which is disbursed in yen, towards projects that aim to develop Iraq’s basic infrastructure.
