Baghdad: The Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court has decided to delay the trial of several Members of Parliament accused of financial and administrative corruption. Initially set to begin today, Sunday, the hearings have now been rescheduled for September 16-17.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, MP Zuhair al-Fatlawi announced on his official social media account that the trial involving MPs Ashwaq al-Jubouri, Hind al-Abbasi, and former MP Bushra al-Qaisi was slated for today. These individuals were arrested based on judicial warrants as part of the “Dawn’s Charge” campaign, an initiative led by Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi aimed at combating corruption.
