Baghdad: Justice Minister Khalid Shawani met with the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world, Mar Paulos III Nona, on Sunday to discuss the ministry’s measures to protect Christian properties and safeguard their rights.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Justice stated in a press release: “The minister met with the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world, Mar Paulos III Nona, and discussed several issues of mutual interest, primarily the Ministry of Justice’s procedures for protecting the properties of Christian citizens and preserving their legal and ownership rights. This includes ensuring the preservation of these properties, preventing any encroachment or exploitation, and strengthening legal measures to protect the rights of their owners.”
