Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed on Tuesday that dialogue and political solutions are the only way to spare the region further escalation. During his meeting with members of the Jordanian Press Association, the King stressed that ‘Amman will not allow its airspace to be violated and will not become a battleground,’ noting that the security of the Kingdom and the safety of its citizens are paramount, according to the Jordanian News Agency – Petra.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, King Abdullah emphasized the importance of regional stability and highlighted Jordan’s commitment to maintaining its sovereignty. Regarding the Palestinian issue, King Abdullah affirmed the continuation of work with Arab and international partners to protect the rights of Palestinians and halt Israeli measures aimed at changing the status quo in the West Bank and Al-Quds.
