Washington: King Abdullah II of Jordan announced that he will do what he sees as the interest of his country regarding receiving Palestinians. Media outlets quoted the king as saying from Washington after his meeting with US President Donald Trump: “We must consider how to implement this in a way that serves the interest of all, and we must wait to see a plan from Egypt.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, King Abdullah II emphasized the necessity of a strategic plan before taking any action. He stated, “The Kingdom will receive two thousand sick Palestinian children.” This move highlights Jordan’s commitment to providing humanitarian aid while awaiting broader regional strategies.

In response to a question about the existence of land on which Palestinians can live, the king said: “I have to do what is in the interest of my country, and there will be a response from several countries.” This statement suggests a collaborative approach involving multiple nations in addressing the complex issue of Palestinian resettlement.
