Kirkuk: The Chairman of the Kirkuk Provincial Council, Engineer Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Hafez, has mandated the establishment of a specialized crisis cell to address the rising cases of hemorrhagic fever in the province. This decision follows the report of four fatalities linked to the disease, prompting immediate action to curb its spread.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hafez underscored the urgency of intensifying health response efforts. He highlighted the necessity of direct coordination between health and veterinary departments to bolster precautionary and preventive measures. Furthermore, the Chairman emphasized implementing awareness campaigns to educate citizens and enhance health monitoring procedures across all regions.

Al-Hafez also instructed the provision of essential resources to the Kirkuk Health Department. This support aims to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cases while also addressing the environmental factors contributing to the transmission of the disease.

In his address, he urged citizens to cooperate with health teams and follow the preventive guidelines issued. Al-Hafez assured the public that the Kirkuk Provincial Council is vigilantly monitoring the health situation, with a strong commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of its citizens.
