Kirkuk: A matter worthy of attention is raised by a member of the Kirkuk council. Kirkuk Provincial Council member Ahmed Ramzi, head of the Security and Defense Committee, revealed that female employees and visitors have been subjected to harassment by security, political, administrative, and executive officials.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ramzi indicated that they were subjected to suggestive and offensive remarks, including: “Come to my farm so I can process your paperwork.” Ramzi described these actions as morally and legally unacceptable, emphasizing that anyone who abuses their position to harass or abuse women is unfit for office, and that he will not remain silent regarding these practices.
