Kirkuk Governor Initiates Payment Distribution to Local Farmers and Agricultural Workers


Kirkuk: The governor of Kirkuk, Mohammed Saman Agha, has announced the initiation of payment distributions to farmers and agricultural workers in the region, marking a significant step in addressing their outstanding dues.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Agha confirmed that the disbursement process has commenced in the Riyadh and Hawija centers. This effort involves the use of 49 billion and 280 million dinars, which constitutes a portion of the farmers’ entitlements from the previous agricultural season. He acknowledged the efforts of the Minister of Trade, Dr. Mustafa Nizar Al-Ani, for his timely response to their requests and support for the farming community.



Agha also highlighted that the distribution process, managed by the General Company for Grain Trade, Kirkuk branch, has started in the Riyadh and Hawija centers. It is set to expand to all affiliated locations throughout Kirkuk, with the aim of serving all farmers effectively.
