Kirkuk: Kirkuk International Airport announced the launch of its first direct flight to the Egyptian capital, Cairo. This development is part of the airport’s strategy to expand its international destinations and enhance air traffic to and from Kirkuk Governorate.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Airport Director Ahmed Al-Kubaisi highlighted that the new Kirkuk-Cairo route represents a significant milestone in the expansion of the airport’s international flight network. It offers passengers direct travel options to Egypt, thereby strengthening the air connectivity between Kirkuk and Cairo.
Al-Kubaisi also emphasized the ongoing efforts to further develop the airport’s destination network. This work aims to accommodate more international flights, providing passengers with broader options and reinforcing the airport’s status as a vital air hub in the region.
