Kufa: The historic Kufa Mosque hosted the Festival of Light, an event commemorating the births of three members of the Prophet’s family. The festival took place under the patronage and supervision of Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, members of Muqtada al-Sadr’s private office, along with a large crowd of celebrants, attended the ceremony. The event celebrated the birth of the Prophet Muhammad and his grandson, Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq.
