Baghdad: Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the floods that struck the Shorsh sub-district in Chamchamal district, which resulted in the death of two citizens and caused material damage to homes, schools, and government offices.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in an official message, Barzani affirmed his solidarity with the families of the victims and his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, emphasizing that the government is closely monitoring developments related to the floods.

The Prime Minister added that he has directed the relevant ministries and local administrations to take immediate measures to intervene in the affected areas and provide various forms of support to citizens, including addressing the damage and securing emergency needs.
