Erbil: The Kurdistan Regional Government has condemned a recent drone attack on Mecca, labeling it an extremely dangerous development. The attack, which targeted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, poses a significant threat to the security of the Kingdom and the safety of civilians and pilgrims at the Holy Mosque.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Department of Foreign Relations of the Kurdistan Regional Government issued a press release emphasizing the importance of maintaining the security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia. The statement underlined that any attack on the Kingdom’s territory or its civilians is unacceptable and condemned such actions.

The statement highlighted the immense religious and spiritual significance of Mecca for Muslims worldwide, noting that targeting such a holy site represents a perilous development. This act threatens the sanctity of holy sites and the safety of pilgrims, requiring clear and firm condemnation from the international community.

The Kurdistan Regional Government expressed its unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to protect its security, sovereignty, and the well-being of its citizens, residents, and guests.
