Beirut: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun has condemned the recent Israeli attacks targeting multiple towns in the south, including civilian facilities, describing them as part of a systematic policy.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Aoun stated through a statement released by his office that the repeated Israeli aggression aims to destroy productive infrastructure and obstruct economic recovery, threatening national stability under false security pretexts.
He further emphasized that this escalatory behavior represents a significant violation of Resolution 1701 and the 2024 Cessation of Hostilities Agreement. Aoun asserted that Israel’s actions demonstrate a continued disregard for international obligations, employing force outside any legal framework or international mandate. He called for an international stance to address and halt these concerning violations.
