Beirut: Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has issued a warning about the potential for renewed military operations on the southern border, which he believes could drag the country into a new war, bringing calamities to Lebanon and its people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Salam communicated with the Minister of National Defense, Major General Michel Mansi, stressing the importance of taking all necessary security and military measures. He emphasized that the state alone holds the authority to make decisions regarding war and peace.
