Baghdad: Nouri al-Maliki, leader of the State of Law Coalition, rejected and condemned the attack on the office of Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a post on the “X” website, al-Maliki stated, “What happened yesterday, the attack on the office of Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, is unacceptable and condemned. Any attack that threatens the security of the region, the stability of Iraq, and its institutions is unacceptable.”

He further emphasized the need for accountability, stating, “Such acts are unacceptable, regardless of who is behind them. It is imperative to uncover the circumstances of the incident through official investigations and hold those responsible accountable according to the law, in order to preserve Iraq’s security, sovereignty, and unity.”
