Baghdad: Baghdad Mayor Ammar Musa affirmed on Monday that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi’s visit to Paris is significant and will open up prospects for cooperation across all sectors, noting that discussions will be held with French companies to activate collaboration on projects benefiting the capital. Speaking from Paris to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Moussa stated that the Prime Minister’s visit aims to open up avenues for cooperation across all sectors. He noted that, regarding the provision of public services, meetings are being held with major French companies specializing in infrastructure, transport networks, and roads.

According to Iraqi News Agency, discussions are underway to activate joint cooperation on projects benefiting Baghdad-specifically in the water, sewage, and transport network sectors-and to advance their development. He further explained that the Baghdad Municipality has an active memorandum of understanding with the City of Paris covering various aspects of municipal operations.

phasized that transferring experiences and expertise, as well as engaging with private sector entities and companies-and ensuring their presence in Baghdad-are crucial for elevating the level of services in the capital.
