Maysan: The main blood bank in Maysan is spearheading a blood donation campaign with active participation from law enforcement forces. The initiative is aimed at securing a reliable blood supply for emergency situations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the campaign organized by the blood bank in Maysan Governorate has seen a strong turnout, particularly from members of the law enforcement forces. This effort successfully resulted in the collection of 30 units of blood, which will enhance the blood bank’s reserves and support the national blood supply. This contribution is crucial for providing blood for patients and those in need of humanitarian and medical care.

The Maysan Health Department emphasized that this initiative is part of broader efforts to ensure a sufficient blood supply. It is particularly focused on meeting the needs of patients with conditions such as thalassemia, cancer, and those requiring kidney dialysis, as well as addressing emergency and critical cases that necessitate urgent blood transfusions.
