Najaf: A specialized medical team at the Najaf Health Department’s Specialized Hospital for Digestive Diseases and Surgery successfully saved a nine-year-old girl after she swallowed a coin.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Maher Al-Aboudi, the department’s media officer, stated, “The case was dealt with urgently upon the girl’s arrival at the hospital. She underwent an emergency gastroscopy under general anesthesia, and the team successfully removed the foreign object without complications.”

The medical staff confirmed that the girl fully regained consciousness and is in stable condition.
