Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Monday denounced the campaigns targeting his government regarding the displaced Syrians' file. "The continuous campaigns against the government over the displaced Syrians' file is clear path that aims at obscuring the truth for populist goals, as well as paralyzing the work of the government and distracting it with pointless rows and bickering," he said. "We reiterate that we will carry on with our work and with the execution of the decisions we have made with a clear conscience and a sense of responsibility," he added. "We will have detailed statements in that respect during Wednesday's parliament session," he noted. Mikati also stressed the necessity of multiplying efforts with the support of Lebanon's internal and external partners in the Arab and international communities.
