Baghdad: Military Intelligence Directorate units arrested four terrorists in four governorates.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a statement that based on accurate intelligence information from the Intelligence Divisions of the Commands of Divisions (1, 6, 8, 16) and in cooperation and coordination with the ground forces present in the areas of responsibility, the Military Intelligence Directorate detachments carried out several preemptive operations in various areas of the governorates Diyala, Baghdad, Kirkuk, and Nineveh. These operations resulted in the arrest of four terrorists wanted by the Iraqi judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of Terrorism.

The arrests took place in Tel Keppe District, Jalawla Subdistrict, Saqizli Area, and North Baghdad. The detained individuals were identified as members of the terrorist ISIS organization, and some had previously participated in attacks against the Iraqi security forces. The arrested terrorists have been handed over to the concerned authorities following the applicable legal procedures.
