Mini-Arab Summit in Saudi Arabia to Formulate Counter-Plan to Trump’s Gaza Proposal

Riyadh: A number of Arab leaders will meet in Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Friday, in a mini-Arab summit, to discuss a counter-plan to US President Donald Trump’s plan to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Qatar, and Jordan were scheduled to hold the summit in Riyadh today, Thursday, but it was postponed for one day. The summit has been expanded to include the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as Egypt, Jordan, and the Palestinian Authority.

A source close to the Saudi government indicated that a copy of the Egyptian plan will be among the key topics on the table during the discussions.
