Minister Morcos Denies Reports of Gasoline Price Increase

Beirut: Minister of Information, Attorney Dr. Paul Morcos, on Thursday denied reports circulating about an alleged Cabinet decision to impose a gasoline price increase to be announced within hours, stressing that the reports are "entirely false."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Dr. Morcos addressed the rumors, emphasizing that no such decision had been made by the Cabinet. He urged the public to disregard the misinformation and to rely on official channels for accurate updates regarding gasoline pricing and related policies.

Dr. Morcos further clarified that the government remains committed to maintaining transparency in its economic decisions and will continue to communicate any changes directly to the citizens. The statement aims to alleviate public concerns and stabilize the situation amidst the circulating rumors.
