Baghdad  Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, announced today, Thursday, the inclusion of (99) projects, with a total cost of (344) billion and (631) million dinars, within the projects of the Dhi Qar Governorate Reconstruction Fund.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Planning, the minister called the governorate to proceed with the completion of the announcement procedures, to expedite the implementation of these projects in order to provide services to the people of Dhi Qar governorate, indicating that the projects that were approved included all the districts of the governorate,: (Nasiriya, Shatrah, Al-Fajr, Maysaloon, Al-Duwaya, Al-Fahud, Al-Tar, Al-Manar, Al-Batha, Al-Akaikah, Sayed Dakhil, Al-Islah, Al-Chabaish, Al-Rifai, Al-Gharraf, Al-Nasr, Qalaat Sukkar, Ur, Al-Fadhliah, Suq Al-Shuyoukh).

The Minister of Planning pointed out that the projects approved by the Ministry of Planning were distributed by (27) projects in the municipal sector, at a cost of about (82) billion dinars, and (25) projects, within the sewage sector, whose cost exceeds (129) billion dinars. The roads and bridges sector included (15) projects, the cost of which amounted to about (77) billion dinars, while the share of the electricity sector was (21) projects, at a cost of more than (45) billion dinars, and in the youth and sports sector (10) projects, at a cost of more than ( 6) billion dinars, and one project within the water sector, at a cost close to (5) billion dinars.

He indicated, that the ministry is still waiting for the projects of the health and education sectors to arrive, in order to be included in the plan, noting that there is a second batch of projects with a number of up to (94) projects, and at a cost of more than (50) billion dinars, which will be approved after completing the listing requirements.
