Baghdad: Minister of Trade Atheer Al-Ghariri discussed simplifying company registration procedures and enhancing joint cooperation with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Representative Office. The Ministry disclosed in a statement that Al-Ghariri met with Faris Issa Abdul Karim, head of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Representative Office in Baghdad, addressing the streamlining of company registration processes and boosting collaborative efforts.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting delved into the primary obstacles confronted by the Companies Registrar’s Office in the region, with a focus on the registration of both Iraqi and foreign companies. The Minister underscored the Ministry of Trade’s commitment to fostering cooperation and coordination with the Kurdistan Region, aiming to devise practical and swift solutions to challenges impeding the business environment. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on investment and private sector development in Iraq.

Faris Issa Abdul Karim commended the Ministry’s dedication to promoting transparency and simplifying procedures.
