Basra: The Minister of Transport, Wahab al-Hassani, emphasized the urgent need to expedite port projects and enhance performance efficiency during his visit to the General Company for Iraqi Ports in Basra. He highlighted that these measures are crucial priorities for the development of Iraq’s trade infrastructure and the overall national economy.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister addressed senior management and staff at the ports company, focusing on project completion rates and the various phases of implementation. He urged adherence to established timelines and discussed obstacles that could impede progress. Al-Hassani underscored the necessity of implementing effective solutions to accelerate the completion of these projects and meet planned objectives. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of monitoring the administrative, technical, and operational aspects of the ports to ensure they contribute effectively to the growth and capacity of Iraqi ports.
