Basra: Minister of Transport Wahab al-Hassani chaired a meeting at the headquarters of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, attended by its Director General, department heads, and a number of local officials. The meeting addressed key work files and projects, and set priorities for the next phase.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting covered a number of vital issues related to the company's work and projects, most notably the Faw Port project, its progress, and the requirements for completing its remaining facilities. The meeting also discussed the progress of work at the other Basra ports, given their crucial importance in strengthening Iraq's strategic position and supporting the national economy.

Challenges facing the work were also discussed, and appropriate solutions were agreed upon. Emphasis was placed on maintaining high-level coordination to ensure the implementation of plans and projects according to the specified timelines, working as a unified team, and utilizing all available resources to support strategic projects and improve performance.
