Baghdad:The Minister of Electricity, Ali Saadi Waheeb, met with the German Ambassador to Iraq, Daniel Kriener, at the Ministry’s headquarters to discuss the development of cooperation between Iraq and Germany in the electric power sector.

According to Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, both parties explored ways to enhance collaboration and utilize German expertise in implementing and improving electricity sector projects in Iraq. This initiative aims to strengthen the partnership between the two countries and bolster the Ministry’s efforts to improve the performance of the electrical system.

Minister Waheeb specifically urged the German Ambassador to prompt Siemens to complete its ongoing projects and obligations in Iraq. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the set timelines to support the Ministry’s plans for advancing the electricity sector.
