Baghdad: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities has initiated a training course titled “The Art of Leadership” at the Ishtar Hall within its headquarters. The session, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, aims to bolster the leadership and administrative capabilities of its employees, thereby enhancing their job performance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dr. Ali Redha Abdul Hamoud, the Director General of the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs, highlighted the significance of such training programs in elevating staff efficiency and honing their professional and administrative skills. He emphasized that effective leadership transcends job titles, focusing instead on a leader’s ability to manage teams, communicate effectively, and delegate authority to improve performance and foster a sense of responsibility.

Dr. Halima Sweidan Ali, a professor at Al-Karkh University of Science, contributed to the course with a lecture on the delegation of authority and its role in enhancing the administrative skills of employees in both state and private sectors. Her presentation covered the objectives of delegation, foundational principles, task distribution mechanisms, and conditions under which delegation is appropriate, including task coverage and duration.
