Baghdad: The Ministry of Culture participated in the Women and Economic Development Forum, inaugurated by Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Othman Ibrahim Al-Juhayshi. Organized by the House of Wisdom in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the forum was held under the theme: “From Empowerment to Sustainability: Women at the Heart of Economic Transformation.” Representatives from state institutions, the private sector, financial institutions, universities, and civil society organizations participated.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the forum featured three dialogue sessions addressing key themes such as enhancing the economic impact of women’s empowerment, financial inclusion, and the role of women in combating drug abuse and cyber extortion. These discussions aimed at supporting economic and social development.

The Ministry of Culture was represented at the forum by advisors Hind Kamel and Kulshan Al-Bayati, along with the director and staff of the ministry’s Human Rights Department. This participation reflects the ministry’s commitment to strengthening institutional and community cooperation and partnerships with ministries, government agencies, civil society organizations, and companies with a cultural and social focus, all in service of cultural and social development in Iraq.
