Baghdad: The Ministry of Defense denied on Wednesday the issuance of any cable containing intelligence regarding alleged intentions by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to target Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) bases, asserting that the information circulated in the alleged cable is baseless.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated that it “denies reports circulated via certain media outlets and social media platforms regarding the issuance of a cable containing intelligence about alleged intentions by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to target PMF bases.”

It added that “the content of this alleged cable is baseless and is not supported by any official document or source from the Ministry of Defense.” The Ministry urged media outlets “not to circulate such inaccurate information, given the potential to mislead public opinion and cause confusion.”
