Baghdad: The Ministry of Environment is spearheading a training workshop aimed at promoting safe practices within the refrigeration and air conditioning sector. The initiative, organized by the Ozone Department within the Ministry, focuses on equipping instructors and trainers with enhanced skills in handling refrigerants safely, detecting leaks, and applying best practices in their field. Additionally, the workshop provides insights into the approved evaluation methodology necessary for obtaining professional certifications.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop addresses several technical topics, including the safe use of refrigerants, mechanisms for leak detection and mitigation, and sound technical practices in refrigeration and air conditioning work. The aim is to improve the efficiency of workers, enhance safety requirements, and ensure environmental protection.

The Ministry has highlighted the significance of these training programs in developing the technical capabilities of specialized personnel. It supports the application of sound environmental standards and practices in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector, aligning with national efforts to protect the ozone layer and mitigate the environmental impact of materials used in this industry.
