Karbala: The Ministry of Health has entered into a significant cooperation program with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, aimed at implementing primary healthcare programs across the shrine’s hospitals. This initiative will commence at the Khadija Al-Kubra Specialized Women’s Hospital, with future plans for expansion to other healthcare facilities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the signing ceremony was attended by numerous officials and specialists from both parties. The agreement was formalized by Dr. Riyadh Abdul-Amir Al-Halfi, Director General of the Public Health Department, representing the Ministry of Health, and Dr. Sabah Al-Moussawi, General Supervisor of the Holy Shrine’s hospitals, representing the shrine.

The Ministry of Health highlighted that this program is designed to enhance collaboration and joint coordination, thereby supporting the implementation of primary healthcare services in the shrine’s affiliated health institutions. The initiative marks a step forward in integrating healthcare programs within religious institutions to better serve community health needs.
