Ministry of Justice Completes Draft Amendment to Real Estate Registration Law

Baghdad: The Ministry of Justice has announced the completion of the draft amendment to the Real Estate Registration Law, marking a significant step towards its submission to the House of Representatives. The announcement was made today, Thursday, highlighting the Ministry's efforts to modernize the legal framework governing real estate registration.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated in a press release that the draft amendment has been finalized and forwarded to the State Council for review and approval. This process is a precursor to submitting the amendment to the Council of Representatives for the completion of legislative procedures. The Ministry emphasized that this initiative is part of an effort to align with rapid developments in digital transformation and the adoption of automated systems in real estate registration offices.

The proposed amendments are the result of direct oversight by Minister of Justice Khalid Shawani. The changes aim to keep pace with technological advancements, enhance performance efficiency, and simplify procedures. The Ministry hopes to improve the level of services provided to citizens, ensuring faster completion of transactions and enhancing the accuracy and transparency of real estate registration processes.
