Baghdad: The Ministry of Justice has successfully conducted a virtual evacuation drill aimed at training its employees on how to effectively respond to emergencies. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance safety measures within the Ministry.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the exercise was carried out under the directives of Minister of Justice Khalid Shawani and closely supervised by the Director of the Minister’s Office. The Civil Defense Division of the Ministry of Justice coordinated the drill in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior’s Civil Defense Directorate and the Ministry of Health’s Emergency Medical Operations and Immediate Ambulance services.
The drill involved comprehensive training sessions where employees learned the procedures for rapid evacuation and how to manage emergency situations. Participants were trained to safely evacuate and transport injured individuals using the Ministry of Interior’s fire truck. Medical teams from the Ministry of Health provided first aid and facilitated the transportation of the injured.
In addition to evacuation procedures, employees received hands-on training in the use of fire extinguishers of different types and sizes. This aspect of the drill was designed to boost the staff’s preparedness and competency in handling fires and emergencies, thereby ensuring the safety of both employees and visitors while minimizing risks during real-life emergency situations.
