Baghdad: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced today, Thursday, the release of the social protection payments for September. The ministry stated in a press release that “the social protection payments for September 2026 have been released to more than 2,042,000 families in Baghdad and the provinces, excluding the Kurdistan Region, with a total amount exceeding 437 billion dinars.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Social Protection Authority, Ahmed al-Moussawi, said that “this payment included more than 1,480,000 families headed by men, with a total amount exceeding 353 billion dinars, in addition to more than 562,000 families headed by women, with an amount exceeding 84 billion dinars.”

Al-Moussawi explained that “the authority has completed the procedures for releasing the payment to ensure the smooth disbursement process and the delivery of the aid to eligible families,” calling on beneficiaries to “visit the approved payment outlets to receive their entitlements.”
