Trabzon: Egyptian star Mohamed Salah led his team Trabzonspor to a resounding 5-0 victory over Gen§lerbirligi in their match on Sunday evening, part of the fourth round of the 2026-2027 Turkish Super Lig season.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trabzonspor dominated the match from the outset, with Paul Onuachu opening the scoring early in the fifth minute. Mohamed Salah then doubled the lead in the 14th minute, converting a penalty kick. With this goal, Mohamed Salah became the first foreign player to score four goals in his first three starts for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig since the 2000-2001 season.

Onuachu returned to extend the home side’s lead, scoring the third goal in the 22nd minute, making Gen§lerbirligi’s task even more difficult. In the 59th minute, Ernest Mutchi added Trabzonspor’s fourth goal, capitalizing on a brilliant assist from Mohamed Salah, marking the Egyptian star’s first assist for his new team. Franklino Diego completed Trabzonspor’s five-goal haul in the 78th minute, sealing a comfortable 5-0 victory for the home side.

With this win, Trabzonspor moved up to fourth place in the Turkish Super Lig standings with 7 points, level on points with Gen§lerbirligi, who remain in sixth place, also with 7 points.
