Najaf: The head of the Najaf Provincial Council, Hussein al-Issawi, announced that he has ordered an investigation into the legality of the establishment of the Private Generators Association and the legitimacy of the official in charge of that association.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the council’s media office stated that al-Issawi directed the legal committee and the legal department of the council to study the initial documents establishing the generators association and its legality. The objective is to ensure that the formation of the association complies with all legal requirements and regulations governing such entities in the province.
The council’s media office added that al-Issawi also called for an investigation into whether or not the head of the association is collecting monthly fees from private generator owners in violation of the law. This step aims to address concerns about potential illegal financial practices and ensure transparency and accountability in the association’s operations.
