Baghdad: Iraq's National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Aboudi said on Sunday that Iraq supports dialogue as the means to resolve conflicts and consolidate peace in the region.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the National Security Adviser's Media Office released a statement noting that Al-Aboudi hosted French Charg© d'Affaires to Iraq, Beno®t Combourieu. The discussion centered around enhancing the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Iraq and France, with a focus on developing bilateral ties to serve the mutual interests of both nations and their citizens.

The meeting underscored the significance of reducing tensions in the region and advocated for a return to dialogue and diplomacy as the most effective methods for resolving ongoing disputes and conflicts. Al-Aboudi reiterated Iraq's support for dialogue as a strategy for conflict resolution and peace consolidation, aiming for stability and development that benefits states and peoples, rather than resorting to wars and conflicts that lead to destruction and decline.

He highlighted that Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi is committed to establishing national institutions with independent decision-making to build a robust state that maintains balanced international relations, aligned with Iraq's national interests and the welfare of its people.
