Baghdad: The National Security Advisor, Qasim al-Aboudi, engaged in discussions Monday with Florian Hansen, the Resident Representative of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), focusing on ongoing cooperation between the National Security Advisory and GIZ on issues of mutual interest.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Advisory released a statement highlighting al-Aboudi’s appreciation for GIZ’s efforts and support in the fields of climate, environment, and water management in Iraq. Al-Aboudi emphasized the National Security Advisory’s commitment to supporting organizations that operate within Iraq, recognizing the significant services they provide to the country. He also acknowledged the agency’s collaboration with the High National Committee for Countering Violent Extremism, which plays a crucial role in preventing extremism, promoting social stability, and fostering peace.

Hansen expressed the agency’s commitment to continuing its support for Iraq, acknowledging the Iraqi government’s efforts in providing necessary backing to international organizations working within the country.
