National Security Chancellery Invites Norwegian Church Delegation for Tolerance Day Participation


Baghdad: The National Security Advisory extended an invitation to the church delegation to participate in Tolerance Day.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Chancellery stated in a statement: “Qasim Al-Araji met in his office today with the Bishop of the Norwegian Church, Jan Otto Merset, and his accompanying delegation.”



Al-Araji welcomed the guest delegation, emphasizing that Iraq is a country of diversity, partnership, and cross-pollination of civilizations. He noted that moderate discourse, tolerance, and rejection of violence are the characteristics of Iraq today.



Furthermore, Al-Araji invited the church delegation to participate in the Tolerance Day organized by the National Security Chancellery. This event aims to consolidate Iraq’s approach and direction to strengthen the social fabric and national partnership among all segments of the Iraqi population.
