Baghdad: The chairman of the National Investment Commission (NIC), Adel Dakhel Mohammed Al-Yasiri, assumed his duties on Sunday, indicating that the next phase will witness a qualitative transformation in the management of Iraq's investment sector.
According to Iraqi News Agency, NIC announced in a statement that Al-Yasiri took office as the chairman on Sunday. Upon assuming his role, he conducted a meeting with senior officials and directors-general to assess the progress of ongoing investment projects and the challenges they encounter.
The statement highlighted Al-Yasiri's assertion that the next phase would involve a qualitative transformation in the management of Iraq's investment sector. He emphasized that investment is central to the state's new strategic vision, serving as the main driver of economic development and the principal pillar for diversifying national income sources.
Al-Yasiri elaborated that the government's comprehensive vision aims to create an attractive investment environment based on transparency, the rule of law, and simplified administrative procedures.
