Nineveh Police Rescue Children and Recover Young Man’s Body Near Mosul

Baghdad: Nineveh police rescued two children from drowning in the Al-Shalal area north of Mosul after receiving a report that they were drowning near a waterway.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, police officers rushed to pull them out and provided them with first aid before transferring them to the hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is stable.

The source added that police teams found the body of a young man in his twenties in the same area. The body was recovered and transferred to the forensic medicine department. The relevant authorities have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and take the necessary legal measures.
