Nineveh: The Anti-Crime Units announced the seizure of 23,000 packs of smuggled cigarettes and shisha tobacco during a security operation in the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source in the Nineveh Police stated that the seized materials were intended for illegal distribution. The source highlighted that necessary legal measures have been taken against those involved in the smuggling operation.

The police explained that the operation was part of the security forces’ ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and reduce the circulation of materials not subject to legal controls. This initiative underscores the commitment of the authorities to enforce laws and maintain security in the region.
