Baghdad: The Minister of Oil stressed the need to exert maximum efforts to increase the rate of oil exports and support the state treasury. Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair al-Abadi emphasized these points during his leadership of the ministry’s crisis cell meeting on Saturday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the minister underscored the importance of activating national efforts to complete and finalize projects under the current exceptional circumstances. He highlighted the necessity of finding alternatives for oil exports due to the ongoing suspension of exports through southern ports, a result of the Strait of Hormuz crisis.
The meeting’s agenda included discussions on making crucial decisions and directives, with particular focus on securing petroleum products for the local market amidst these challenges.
