Baghdad: Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair al-Abadi emphasized today, Thursday, the importance of prioritizing the provision of petroleum products and ensuring their availability to citizens.
According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry indicated that “Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair al-Abadi chaired a meeting of the Crisis Cell, attended by the Ministry’s undersecretaries, advisors, and directors general of its various departments.”
The Minister stressed “the necessity of focusing on increasing export capacity from the southern ports and the northern outlet, and utilizing all available resources to support the national economy and secure state revenues.”
He also pointed to “the importance of prioritizing the provision of petroleum products and ensuring their availability to citizens, relevant authorities, and governorates,” emphasizing “the need for significant efforts and close coordination among all sectors to achieve the Ministry’s goals and plans under the current circumstances and to ensure the continuity of fuel supply operations and pumping to meet domestic consumption.”
