Baghdad: The Oil Products Distribution Company has announced that it has begun taking legal action against inciting and subversive pages on social media.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company revealed that it is initiating necessary legal measures and filing complaints against social media pages and entities involved in spreading false information, defamation, and attempts to undermine the integrity of individuals within the company.

The company's statement emphasized that all individuals involved in leaking sensitive information and official documents have been referred for investigation. The administration has made it clear that they will not tolerate negligence or betrayal of professional trust, and violators will face legal consequences.

Moreover, the company has urged individuals with documents or evidence related to corruption or integrity issues to present them to the judiciary and the Integrity Commission for proper evaluation.

The company further noted that legal actions will not only target the owners of the offending pages, but also extend to those who have contributed to the dissemination of falsehoods and unwarranted accusations.
