Pakistan Confirms Participation in Istanbul Foreign Ministers’ Meeting


Istanbul: Pakistan has announced a significant diplomatic engagement with the confirmation of a four-way meeting involving the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey, scheduled to take place in Istanbul later this month. This announcement marks an important step in fostering regional cooperation amid evolving geopolitical dynamics.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry revealed that its foreign minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, recently engaged in a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. During the call, both ministers exchanged views on recent regional developments and discussed joint efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability across the region. This conversation is part of the ongoing coordination between the two nations concerning regional and international issues of mutual interest.



Minister Fidan extended a formal invitation to Minister Dar to attend the upcoming fourth regional ministerial meeting. This gathering will bring together the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. The meeting is scheduled to be held in Istanbul later this month.



Minister Dar has accepted the invitation, expressing Pakistan’s eagerness to participate in this quadrilateral meeting. He emphasized the importance of such gatherings, particularly at a time when the region is experiencing rapid developments. The meeting is seen as a crucial platform for enhancing cooperation and coordination among key regional players to address shared challenges and seize opportunities for peace and stability.
