Paris Saint-Germain Triumphs Over Slovan Bratislava with a Convincing Win in Champions League Opener


Paris: Paris Saint-Germain achieved a resounding victory over their guest Slovan Bratislava with a score of (6-1) in the match held at the Parc des Princes stadium, as part of the first round of the group stage of the Champions League. Ousmane Demb©l© opened the scoring for Paris Saint-Germain in the 17th minute, and returned to add the second goal in the 23rd minute. Ferran Torres extended the Parisian team’s lead with the third goal in the 31st minute.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, in the second half, the French team continued their attacking onslaught, scoring three more goals, two of which were scored by Ferran Torres, completing his hat-trick in the 47th and 57th minutes. Fabian Ruiz completed Paris Saint-Germain’s six-goal haul in the 88th minute.



In the same round, Liverpool defeated Atletico Madrid 2-1. Atletico Madrid opened the scoring through Marcos Llorente in the 17th minute, but Liverpool equalized through midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai in the 40th minute, and Alexis Mac Allister scored the winning goal in the 50th minute.



Arsenal also secured a 1-0 victory over Napoli, with Martin “degaard scoring the decisive goal in the 75th minute. Sporting Lisbon overcame an early deficit against Galatasaray to secure a valuable 3-1 win. Sporting Lisbon defender Gon§alo In¡cio scored an own goal for Galatasaray in the fifth minute, but Gennady Katamu equalized for the Portuguese side in the 27th minute. Luis Su¡rez then put Sporting ahead from the penalty spot in the 57th minute, and Rodrigo Zalazar completed the scoring with a third goal in the 63rd minute.
