Baghdad: The Parliamentary Higher Education Committee has formally reached out to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with a request to consider the 2025/2026 academic year as a non-failing year. This proposal aims to accommodate certain students’ circumstances and prevent their academic dismissal.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the committee’s official letter highlights the need to address the challenges faced by students that could impact their academic performance adversely. By designating the academic year as non-failing, the committee hopes to alleviate the pressure on students and ensure their educational continuity.
