Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi confirmed on Monday that there are important plans to achieve economic reform, address the electricity problem, and support investment.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office released a statement indicating that Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi had a meeting with Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji, the head of the political body of Khadamat Alliance, along with other members of the alliance. During this meeting, various issues across several sectors were discussed.

Al-Zaidi highlighted the government’s commitment to creating optimal conditions for the development of national products. This comes in conjunction with the draft law of the Food, Drug and Medical Supplies Authority, which aims to enhance food and drug security, and bolster local production.

The Prime Minister further emphasized the government’s strategic plans targeting economic reform, resolving electricity challenges, broadening investment, and regulating foreign labor. These efforts are intended to secure job opportunities for local workers.

Members of the Khadamat Alliance expressed their support for the Prime Minister’s initiatives to combat corruption and implement economic reforms. They also voiced their approval of the government’s intention to enact significant legislation.
